How far is the pickup from each practical origin ramp, and what does the local dray market actually cost?
Which railroad serves the terminal, what schedules are available, and does the route require an interchange?
Where does the rail service terminate, and how practical is the final-mile dray to the receiver?
Are containers and dray carriers available in the market when the customer needs to move?
How does the full lane timing compare after accounting for cutoffs, rail service and dray?
Which ramp pair creates the strongest total door-to-door result rather than the lowest isolated component?

Ramp selection can materially affect transit because terminals do not all feed the same trains or railroad paths. Two nearby terminals can have different cutoff times, service frequencies and interchange requirements.
